Metlox Poppytrail California Mobile gravy boat with midcentury modern atomic design
1950s ceramic gravy boat
Manufacturer: Metlox Potteries, based in Manhattan Beach, California.
Line/Pattern: Part of the "Poppytrail" line, in the "California Mobile" or "Free Form" pattern.
Design: The shape was designed by Frank Irwin, and the abstract, "atomic age" pattern was created by Robert Allen, introduced around 1955.
Appearance: It features a white, lightly speckled glaze background with an abstract geometric design in teal, purple, yellow, and pink.
Approximately 7” long
Condition: small wear spot at spout, appears to have been repaired or is just very minor - taken into consideration when pricing
